pH / Manometry Impedance

Marianne Amann is a qualified Medical Technologist.  After specializing in Chemical Pathology, she started her career in Esophageal and ano-rectal manometry and 24 hour pH studies at Groote Schuur Hospital. Here she was involved in setting up the first laboratory of its kind in South Africa and participated in several research studies on Reflux Disease, Gastric Acid Secretory Studies, Chest Pain Research, Swallowing disorders, and Post-Operative evaluations.  She picked up extensive experience in the field during her 20 year career and had the opportunity to present clinical articles at various National Congresses. Today she’s responsible for doing the procedures, using the new impedance technology, at  Drs Terblanche and Associates, and provides training in esophageal and ano-rectal manometry and pH tests.

Marianne loves people and is passionate about good food, cooking and travel.
